Hye-rin and the frames that never sell
Hye-rin, 31, is Korean, with very long straight glossy black hair and a slim oval face. Her online vintage shop runs out of her flat, and every dress is photographed in front of her stone fireplace in an oak-panelled lounge with a dusty rose leather sofa. Some never make the listing. Those frames are the ones on her roll. She leans her phone against a stack of folded silk scarves and keeps the camera on the timer. Her attic bedroom has a sloping white ceiling and a brass lamp.
Ngoc under the paper lanterns
Ngoc, 36, is Vietnamese, with dark brown hair in a low chignon and a few loose strands framing her face. She runs a small noodle restaurant in Hanoi and lives in the flat above it: charcoal walls, a row of paper lanterns and a long teal velvet sofa. After the last bowl is washed she props her phone against a lantern. Then she sets the timer. When she travels she stays in hotel suites with gold walls, and her roll includes a few of those too.
How they write
Hye-rin is quick and witty in writing, precise with her commas and fond of a fashion word; the tease comes first, the explanation later, and she will tell you which colour suits you. Ngoc writes neat, quiet messages that grow warmer as the night goes on, and she talks about food the way other people talk about a kiss. Both answer in your language. What is open and what is private
Both rolls open with a cover and three free sets - at home, getting comfortable, lingerie - for anyone past the age check.
