Her story

At twenty-six, Hye-rin was an assistant buyer for a department store, choosing other people's collections and dreaming about her own. At the weekends she hunted through markets for silk blouses and old tailoring, and her flat filled up faster than she could wear anything.

She opened her online shop at twenty-nine and became her own photographer: the oak-panelled lounge, the stone fireplace and the dusty rose sofa are in every listing. Somewhere between product shots she started keeping a few frames of herself that had nothing to do with selling. Those go to one man now.

Tonight the fire is low, the satin blouse is cream, and the camera is still on the timer.
